I can't say if this is good for experienced managers or not, but as a new manager, I can definitely say this book was helpful. I run my own business, and the purpose of hiring some employees was to free up my own time. I do not want to have to spend a lot of time managing them or it defeats the purpose.I liked the action steps... too many books are all about theory, and while theory is important, I need to know what to DO. This book comes through with that. Thank you!

A quick way to get to the nutty nitty gritty.
A great book for self improvement as well as
a leadership guide for our daily lives. Excellent
for home schooled students as every job is a business.
The book consists of a bunch of self-reflection exercises which don't lead to anything practical or helpful in ones day-to-day as a manager. Good information to skim through but not worth doing over 30-days.
Committing to work through this book was an excellent refresher of many management concepts which I have been exposed to and have implemented over the years, but of which I must be reminded every so often. The book also could provide an overview of management to individuals new to the field and form a basis for future learning. One could easily spend many weeks studying the material put forth in every lesson. Well done Mark.
I was very excited to read this book. I have recently become the manager of a business and have been having a hard time trying to figure out how I should treat and deal with my staff. It's a small office and so we are have constant contact with each other and I have found it hard to strike the right balance between friend and boss. Many times I have felt uncomfortable when wanting to address something with one of my employees. This book has been invaluable to me in that it has given me a lot to think about and put into action. I like that there is a timeline so there are different questions to ask myself each day so that I just don't do a 180 in 24 hours. My employees may just walk out on me then!
This book really made me identify to myself why I am the boss, what skills I possess to help this business and to take ownership of that. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to work on their management skills!
The author asked me to read and review this book and I am so glad he did. This is my honest review and I highly recommend the book.
I got the book on kindle and it was okay. However, the book was a little different due to wording that reflected that it had been in a dialect that I wasn't used to. Got more from the intro and table of contents than the body of the book. Would be good as a rear of the room offering or basic management course. Would love to hear Mark speak.
Not so impressed, but if applied correctly as the book intended it could be considered a Management class. One that people wishing to pursue Supervisory and / or Manager carreers in business could read. It is good when it talks about the importance of developing CORE Values and taking them with you in the carreer you choose.. There was several other topics I like and could see applied in a practical manner so don't count this book out.. Easy reading and good information
